The annual mudbath that was the Absent Friends Trail race (formerly the Ann Johnson Absent Friends Trail Race) had a large Harrier turnout for race 2 of the Grand Prix.
As was usual on the course, the large hill and clarty fields provided plenty of hard work and hilarity with a few falls taking place, Lisa Darby being one of those taking a fall. The hilarity however started on the startline with Helen and Georgina Letts, and Sue Dobson stood at what they thought was the back, only to realise they had been in facts on the front row. They apparently set off in a fit of giggles.
As has become the norm in our most recent races, James Oldfield was 1st harrier home (2nd Overall), closely followed by his regular sparring partner the machine that is Paul Weir (5th overall). 3rd Harrier home was the ever youthful Chris Lines still sporting his black eye from the ball game.
Our ladies obviously knew wine was on offer for prizes with Tracy Henderson, Tracy Glaister, Lisa Darby and Helen Parsons taking 1st ladies team.
The club took home 3 other prizes with Chris Lines being 3rd Vet 40, Tracy Henderson 1st V35, and Tracy Glasiter 2nd V45
