From year 3 up to year 6 the minors had a great turn out at Maiden Castle today. The weather was perfect, slightly breezy but not too sunny putting everyone in great spirits.
Put into groups according to their year group, everyone got chance to do a 600m or 400m run, a sprint of 75m or 50m, a howler throw and a standing long jump.
There was a great turn out and some fantastic runs, jumps and throws, although I am sure the athletes would tell you that the highlight was the footballers on the pitch next to the track - men wearing bras!
This was a great opportunity for those who had never run on a track or jumped into a sand pit to try these things with their friends and coaches at this great facility in Durham.
